Melbourne Bitter was searching for a means to give back to the local artist community that had unexpectedly embraced the heritage brand in recent years. What began as a simple production exercise, creating Melbourne Bitter eskies to give to key tasemakers and artists, quickly evolved into an incredible event, and quite possibly the best pun we’ve ever come up with.

Given our audience, it was important that this exercise adopted an environmentally friendly position so painstakingly tracking down unique, functional pre-loved Eskys, became the focus. We then contracted some of Melbourne’s most impressive artistic talents to apply their own designs to each Esky to be displayed at a weekend-long ‘Eskybition’ and auctioned silently to art lovers and locals, with all funds being directed straight to Support Act to assist musicians and artists in times of crisis.
